Seated immediately. asked for water with extra lemon. Waitress brought a bowl of fresh sliced lemon. Big deal to me. Food was fast, hot and wonderful. Rolls and cornbread fresh out of the oven. So friendly and comfortable environment. She offered extra to go containers and fresh bread. I tipped very well.
Good food. Bad service. We looked around as people sat up to 15 min after us get tended to before us. Our server, Irma, seriously asked if we needed something while walking off before the reply. She stopped to chitchat with regulars and ignored us for a bit. Had to get our own to go box after asking and waiting for about 15 min. Got charged 2 coffees despite not touching or even asking for a second. Not even busy. Norma's in Oak cliff will still be my go to as they give great service to old and new guest alike, and prices are better as well.
I been going here for lunch 2-3 times a week, I like the food, but they are rude as hell. I asked the old lady that gave me my to go order for 7-8 ketchup packets and she gave me 3. So I said can I please have a few more ketchups... she said they are already in the bag... I said there is only 3, can I have a few more.. then she started mumbling under her breath and reluctantly gave me 2 more... like I'm taking ketchup from her kitchen... idk, but it's plenty other places around here to eat lunch...
