Wonderful food and atmosphere, amazing place! The restaurant is located in an old town house, with tons of character and period features. The food is a traditional Czech cuisine, served to a fine dining standard. We had a tasting menu and each dish was delicious and perfectly matched with wine pairings. And live piano music! I would definitely recommend. Thank you for a wonderful birthday celebration!

Attentive and well timed service plus the food is fabulous. What more can you ask for? We had several great recommendations for wine and menu items. It's traditional Czech food but dressed up and paired well with a nicely thought out wine selection. Lovely romantic atmosphere as well.

The place does have a romantic atmosphere and the decor is wonderful but it's a little too dingy for my taste (it was the ground floor, perhaps brighter upstairs). Some of the food is finished in the open flame before your eyes which is a nice touch. The food is decent both taste and potion wise - unlike other Czech places the food was not overly salty so you can add salt yourself - but lacks of seasonal touch. Perhaps it's difficult to maintain high standard post Corona world. Again, the presentation of food must have been excellent but it was so dark and I couldn't see well, after coming inside from sunny street. Would I go back? Yes, sure.

Delicious traditional Czech food in a great ambiance International foodie guide was in Prague recently and tasted traditional Czech food at this restaurant. Food here is very delicious, we really enjoyed the duck dishes, we had some of the best Czech traditional food at this restaurant, Czech cuisine is very rich in game and local produce from the forest, we enjoyed the grilled deer, the roast duck, the pheasant wrapped in bacon and the dessert of pear poached in red wine, vanilla ice cream and poppy seed cake. Go out of your way to eat here. Traditional Czech dishes that will leave you stuffed but wanting more in the coziest of atmospheres, too. Try a duck dish (it's what they're know for!) but the venison and rabbit were superb. Go for the house wine too. Probably the best in Prague. The staff make you feel as though you've been welcomed to their own home.

Amazing restaurant. Great service in English. Have the duck menu with the wine pairings for a unique Czech experience. All of the pairings were well thought out and fit the dishes perfectly. Leave yourself at least 2.5 hours for dinner as it is a slow and thoughtful process.

Amazing decor, great food and very professional service. Definitely worth a visit if only to admire the frescoes covering every single room. Generally we found customer service in Prague to be, shall we say \brusque\ to say the least, however our lovely waiter was positively ebullient by Prague standards (which means he cracked a smile from time to time and was very polite as he gently steered us through the traditional menu).

Excellent, well worth the walk from the old town to go the the original restaurant. No touristy gimmicks or menus, just excellent duck and game, perfectly executed with a great wine list - and a wonderful piano if you are on the top floor (worth requesting). Probably one of the best dinners you’ll get in Prague.
