Its an open place where you can dine with your family without worrying about social distancing protocols. The restaurant is located in Malabon City and there are huts on top of floating bamboo raft where you can dine. They also have a spacious open area with tables strategically placed. They have variety of food choices and the price is somehow affordable but the taste is not that amazing as you expect it to be. The water where the bamboo raft float has foul smell that I find it difficult to eat every time the wind blows. There is a goose swimming and honking around waiting for someone to feed it. Also, a cat roams around but was taken away by the food attendant since it apparently belongs to the restaurant. The restaurant staff are courteous and observe the minimum health protocols. There is a parking space which when we arrived is not yet full.

Great place and affordable food. My second time here. My only comment is that there were flies later after our food was served. I think it would be helpful to put fly traps or devices to drive them away or at least screens /nets. Otherwise, great for celebrations and family gatherings. Parking is available, too

if you are looking for a place that's cozy and casual, that is easy on the budget, then, this is the place to be. Balsa sa Niugan, is the place to go to when you want yo chill out with friends, or spend quality time with the family. they have parking space. entrance to the place is wheelchair-accessible. the staff are very cordial and accommodating, and will serve you with a smile. when it comes to food matters, they have big servings that would be enough for a barkada or family of 5. we were surprised, and amazed at the same time, to see the finger food platter they brought us. it had nachos with meat, and mayo toppings, nuggets and french fries. we were also amused to see chopsuey being served in a pan over a \dikin\. a whole bowl of sinigang sa hipon was a blockbuster for my kids. we got the pitcher of their wintermelon milk tea, with nata de coco, jellies, and black tapioca served separately. mozzarella sticks were great! but the best part of it all is that we got to enjoy all of these on a floating bamboo raft or balsa. hence the name, Balsa sa Niugan (brgy Niugan)

The ambience of the place is nice. The foods used to be delicious, but now, it seems like they changed their cooks. Also, the background music is lewd and too loud where we had to ask one of the staffs to turn the volume down.
