I don’t usually write reviews as I don’t like to be that person. However I attended a makeup course a few years ago and at the time I knew it was bad, but now that I have started proper training I can’t quite get over how bad it was. To start with, the lady running the course was around 45 minutes late, we were all crowded around waiting. Next we were crammed downstairs into a room that wasn’t big enough for us all. Long story short, we weren’t taught very much, she showed us a colour wheel and then decided to tell us our skin tones, gave us a foundation shade that was completely inaccurate, and we were told to go and do our makeup. We were given COMPLETELY unsanitary makeup and a lack of variety of colours and shades were available. We were left to our own devices and she came round telling us we were doing well and that’s about it. The worst part for me, was the fact that we were given a dried up, out of date, used drugstore mascara to share between us, which is so unbelievably unprofessional and unsanitary. Sharing Dirty products and brushes is one thing but sharing mascara?????? That alone could ruin your career as a makeup artist. There were many other things I could point out, but the cherry on top was the fact that it was advertised that we were going to be given a “goodie bag” to take home which would include an array of branded makeup, yet we were sent home with a paper bag with ONE Kiko lip liner in it, of which was an absurd colour. Overall, I have no idea how they’re still open. They spend half their time promoting their products, the staff were rude, it was unprofessional, extremely unsanitary and I genuinely felt scammed. Don’t ever take a course here.

Out of date makeup, the basement room where we were forced to be for 3 hours was so warm, there were no windows , no ac. ridiculous to be learning in these conditions. The teacher wasn't even qualified as she later admitted to of done basic makeup classes and self taught. Such a waste of my time!

I bought the 3 hr MAC materclass for my wife through groupon and unfortunately it was disappointing. She would not recommend it.

I went with 2 friends a couple of weeks ago. Really not worth the money. Course was 3 hours long and most of the time the lady went on about skin care which goes against everything my beauty therapist friends would recommend. This went on for over an hour. Then we were shown how to apply make up which also went on a very long time which left us less than 45 mins to do apply our own make up having to miss out on things I wanted to learn. The make up was all very low and there was no decent selections of eye make up colours leaving me to use colours I wouldn’t normally use on myself. There was only one eye liner pencil which was also very low for everyone to use! This was sold as a Mac make up course and we were using maybeline mascara which to me is not a high end brand. Extremely disappointed with this course. Had it been more than 30 I would be asking for a refund! Don’t bother!

Honestly you'd learn more from YouTube videos. The teacher was so lovely but she seemed untrained as a make up artist. She showed other work she did which was more artistic/special effects which she was clearly better at. They had really good make-up to play with which is fun but you won't really learn anything.
