Maybe the pandemic had caused the gloominess in this place. Though not one of the well lighted places (even their former happy signage was not even lit tonight) I have been to, covid 19 has put a dark, melancholic spell on Hap Chan this side of town. I had lechon kawali with fried egg...nothing very Chinese but more like a Filipino lunch fare. Even the dish looked sad but tasted ok (not comparable to the taste and serving of nearby North Park’s lechon macau!!)...the kaylan with toasted garlic was oh so good and so healthy! Hap Chan no longer serves the hot shrimp salad I so like (good thing nearby Tien Ma serves this yummy dish!). The price is reasonable and the servings are just okay.

Good Chinese food. Ever reliable as it's always open. Fair pricing too and wholly without the bells and whistles of Nextdoor.

One the great Chinese restaurant to consider when you eat around the area. Staffs are attentive and polite. Highly recommended!

We dined here last June 20 to celebrate my son's week long birthday. We always go here for family special occasions due to affordable menus. Our all time fave is Patatim with ManTao and brocolli with fried garlic. Everything is delicious and fresh. Place is always clean and smells good. Waiters are very friendly and accommodating. Overall this is recommended and will definitely coming back

Still remains as one of the favorite teahouses in the Makati scene. Price point is just right for servings good enough for 3-4 pax. Personal favorites of ours are: Shrimp Siomai Fish Lip Soup Shrimp in Garlic (topped on sotanghon noodles) The restaurant is never out of loyal customers despite the stiff competition nearby on Japanese and Korean cuisine restaurants. Whether your out for business lunch, casual dinner with friends or just craving for good soup, Hap Chan is a good choice to frequent.

Food is tasty and service is quick. It would get five stars if their card payment terminal accepted foreign cards. It’s an old BDO one.
