This was a rather puzzling experience. The surroundings are stunning, but the service and food were of inconsistent quality - especially in that price range. We were a party of 15, booked several weeks ahead of time. The layout of the tables did not match what we asked for, we had to pick a single choice of desert (our choice ended up disappointing), servings were on the small side of the spectrum. The tuna was good, the beef disappointing, so was the ham platter. We begged repeatedly for a water bottle that came after desert.

This is in incredibly beautiful restaurant in an absolutely stunning setting. The quality of food is generally in line with what you would expect from a venue of such caliber. It is unfortunate that the service is reminiscent of the old cliche that in France service is bad and when you complain about it, things get even worse. I have been living in France for 3 years, and nothing has been further from this old cliche...that is until we visited this place. It was a family celebration. I was pleased that the manager made a real effort in finding us a table despite being almost entirely booked out. We place our orders and strolled around the garden, while waiting for our food to arrive. The appetisers arrived quickly, unlike the mains which took over an 1 hour reach our table. In fact, 1 of the 4 main dishes arrived on time, but the other 3 arrived 45 minutes later. By the time these 3 dishes arrived, my wife and her mother were in tears. We asked for the bill, which included the price of the entire set menu, although we never got to desserts. When we complained about this, the manager told us that we should not have accepted the reservation, because she told us that they were full. At this stage, I asked to speak to the manager. To my surprise, I was told that she was the manager. So I asked for the owner, who did not understand what the issue was. She gave me all kinds of reasons what the food was late, and she kept asking my why they should apologize. I told her that the only thing that really ticked me off was when her manager implied that it was effectively our fault that we accepted this table. She asked me how much discount I would want; and I kept telling her that an honest apology would really make a difference. I got the discount, but none of the apology...

La carte est plus prometteuse que le résultat dans l'assiette. Très bonne cave ! Néanmoins, service irréprochable, personnel très aimable. Très déçue par la tartelette aux figues que je n'ai même pas photographiée.
