Five or us went here tonight, not sure what to expect. Well I'm so glad we desided on this establishment, firstly the staff give it there all, surpurb customer service always a smile when serving and engaging with the guests. The food was outstanding, presentation five star. Quality, five star. They have a wonderful seating area out back, extremely well maintained .The cleanliness of the place is immaculate. A big thank you to Matt the head chef, keep doing what your doing, it's blinding compared to any others locally, trust me. Now the only reason I have given a 4 star review is as great as your front of house staff are you need at least 3 more I have worked in the industry for 30 years but was left waiting only due to the volume of people and not enough staff. It will damage your business in the end. Take heed. We will return.. see photos.

Very good food and drink options... staff were very attentive, friendly and full of knowledge of the wine on offer. Was expensive but we knew that before we went (a la carte menu). Happy to pay money for very good food.

Very disappointing and would not recommend. We had drinks orders taken, then the waitress didn't come back for half an hour to take our food order, telling us she forgot about us, even though we'd been signalling to lots of members of staff but being ignored. There are three different menus, which is confusing, and we were only given one copy of each, which meant we kept having to swap. The a là carte menu is overly pretentious and very confusing - it's not clear which dishes you need to order additional potatoes with and the waiting staff don't really help much with advice. When the food came, the hake was a tiny piece of fish with not much else, which left my father quite hungry. The lamb was nice enough, although very fatty, and the chickpeas which came with it were so spicy they became sickly after a few mouthfuls. My mother and I ordered chips to accompany our food between us, which were overcooked. We had to ask for the bill three times. Very disappointed, as other reviews were good. It says a lot that when every other venue in the area is fully booked during the Eat Out to Help Out government deal, this place only had us and two other tables in. We will not be returning and we would definitely not recommend. Whilst the decor is very nice, this establishment needs to sort their menus out. We could hear the few other diners around us complaining amongst themselves that they found similar issues to us. Without the government discount, this would be extremely overpriced for quality which was not up to par.

Fantastic service. Unbeatable food. I cannot recommend this place enough. This was once a run down pub, but it has been transformed into the place to be in Poole! Seriously, fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic atmosphere. Need I add more?
