Threw an empty cig packet at the window and when the barmaid came out I snuck in for a pint. Was in the tap room with a pint of bitter and some pork scratchings when they called eyes down. Haven't been in yet. Although I have picked up about 5665 fosters beer cans outside. This isn't a problem I wish there sales well. I just wish I owned a yard, truck and recycling skips.
We went in November. My missus is local and her family has been going there years. I was sponsored by a member. I was the Yank on holiday sort of thing. Staff were great. Friendly smiles, fun banter, swift service, and patience. They treated me like family the first of my three nights there. Like any other club, it has it's rules and traditions, that one should respect. We played bingo, and won. I played the pull-tabs, and won- multiple times. The John Smiths is great, the prices are cheaper than I am used to. I only wish we had these sort of places in the states. Hope to visit again, sooner than later.
