I have been an employee of Continental Tool and Die as a CNC Machinist/Programmer for almost a year. Started back in January of 2020. Unfortunately, management is less than adequate and the shop/plant manager has no machining experience and has expressed to me his disdain for machining and that kind of attitude for any team, in any industry, anywhere, especially from leadership, isn't going to be good for the overall. There is little trust between management and the employees as a result of poor management and a lack of leadership. Morality is low, people don't know what they are doing day to day. It is a chop shop and they don't care so much about quality as they do for speed. The shop is cheap and refuse to invest in proper tooling, FCS - as they claim to have but don't and the pay wage is very low. If you are any kind of machinist, I'd keep the options open. There is one good thing, the people at Continental Tool and Die are top notch. My colleagues are awesome humans. Also, the food truck is pretty good. If you're in the area, only get from Kelly she's the best with the freshest of food recycled daily with new, daily prepared, products to ensure and maintain a great customer experience. I've been her customer since I started in this trade.
