I chose Hamptons as I consider them to be the leading agency in the Maidenhead area and I was not disappointed. Even during the difficult viewing period they were always professional and responsive to all my needs and it resulted in a successful and timely completion just before the Xmas holidays. I sold my place through Hamptons in just a few weeks - can't recommend them highly enough and I wouldn't hesitate to go to them again in future although I do hope it's not for a very long time as it's a stressful business!! I switched to them after a terrible experience with another local agent, and straight away the difference was night and day... - They said they had plenty of potential buyers - they delivered. They managed to organise more viewings in 3 weeks than the previous agent did in 7 months. - They produced multiple, serious buyers and several offers which ultimately enabled me to get my asking price. - They called when they said they would, and never once left me without feedback after the viewings. - They gave excellent advice - how to get the house ready for viewings, whether or not it was worth undertaking work on the house and crucially what to make of the offers I received. - They only took us to view properties that fit our brief. I must call out Laura, who managed my sale brilliantly from start to finish. Finding my buyer was just the beginning, the hard work came managing the process from accepting the offer to completion, but Laura and Yvonne made that as smooth as possible. You can find cheaper agents (as I did at first), but my experience is that you get what you pay for, and Hamptons were worth every penny. We didn't end up buying our new place through Hamptons (luck of the draw finding our dream home elsewhere), but I can honestly say they were the only agent we viewed with to really get to know us, in particular, Alex - who was awesome!! He took the time to understand what we were looking for and never wasted anyone's time trying to get viewing numbers up on properties that didn't fit the bill.
Despite the current situation, I feel as though everyone has done their best to make the move go as smoothly as possible. There were complications at the start of the process, which were frustrating, but out of the control of Gabrielle. Gabrielle was and continues to be professional and attentive with no issues being any trouble for her to action- Having had quite a few questions thrown at her so far! We had a fairly quick turnaround with all things considering and are delighted to be in the property. We genuinely appreciate the work of Gabrielle, getting us into the property at such short notice. We used Hamptons Maidenhead for our first property rental in the UK. Judy Palethorpe in particular provided fantastic, quick and helpful service. She assisted with all the queries I had, which were numerous due to being new in the country.
