Everything you need for aquarium is here including advice. I'm very happy with products, services and staff at this store. The staff is very friendly and ready to chat on your queries, give you advice and help in product selection. Really cool fish collection and aquarium ornaments..

Paul at Maidenhead Aquatics Thornbury was incredibly knowledgable and was absolutely brilliant with us, being complete beginners and talked us through everything we would need and the type of fish that would work for us and together in the tank, no question was too stupid (I did ask some stupid ones) and we came out feeling confident in what we were doing, he even said we could call the shop and ask for him if we needed any extra support. Absolutely Brilliant. Thank you.

I’ve been a regular shopper at both Thornbury and occasionally Brislington for a long time and feel my local Thornbury isn’t what it was. The service has gone downhill and I do wish whoever is in charge of the store would maybe look at the cctv (if it works) and see how the majority of staff might be better suited to a job not facing the public. On more than a few occasions and for quite a while now I feel the staff don’t acknowledge customers and sometimes quite obviously avoid eye contact to not have to serve me and if it wasn’t for the helpful lad that usually serves me now I’d have stopped coming. That’s not all the staff but a look at the cameras would show what I mean. It’s a shame as this really is a good shop and I love going to dobbies too!

Great layout and reasonably priced live stock. Tonnes of freshwater livestock but slightly limited marine selection. Good choice of aquariums and supplies to purchase and also a small pond section outside too. Located right next to the garden centre so parking is very easy and accessible. Helpful staff and quick service.
