We visited Restaurante Basilica during our short trip in Mafra. We loved everything about this place. The service was fantastic, food delicious and lovely atmosphere. We highly recommend it! We wish we could eat here every day!!!

Great service! Sweets are wonderful and there's lots to choose from. Highly recommended. There is a patio and air conditioning.
We chose this restaurant simply because it was across from the palace, but it turned out to be a nice selection. My first impression was that it was neat and clean and nicely decorated. I had the grilled salmon which was excellent and my wife had a pasta and shrimp dish. We learned that shrimp in Portugal generally come with the shells on so it made it a little more difficult for her to eat, but it was a good dish. We had a glass of the house white wine which was just OK. I would recommend looking over their wine list to find a better wine. In general, it is a nice choice if you are in Mafra and looking for a restaurant near the palace. We will go back again.
!They do not accept other than national cards! We had some boring pasta salad with amount of dressing close to none and burger (which turned out to be just a meat with a slice of cheese - probably my fault, maybe I didnt read carefully the menu) which was totally tasteless, okay fries though. Food arrived quite soon but for the check we waited like 20 minutes.
Quiet, and good for kids. Meat and fish are good for the price. Very nice view of the convent and for those who like, a lot of pastry and cakes to chose from.
Great food, nice quiet place, friendly hard working staff. Would absolutely go back!
Huge menu with lots of choices. Especially like their salad options. Big salads that are very filling.
