Food quality really good... Even there are options about what to eat, however this is the place to try the "Cocido Madrileño" and "Boñuelos with apple cyrup". Portions are big.. We were not able to eat all.. Waiters were always taking care that everything was ok. Place was full.. You need to make a reservation in order to get there.. There was a queue of people waiting to get a table. Prices were according to quality and place.

We were looking for cocido last minute, and found this place. Very authentic home cooking. We enjoyed the cocido ( traditional madrilian stew, served as broth with noodle, and meats) and loved the grilled vegetables. friendly staffs. We had a lovely experience, thank you!

A decent place for cocido madrilliano, and the place is filled with locals. Probably not worth going out of your way for though.

Went looking for authentic cocido madrileno...Quiet street, lovely traditional restaurant serving exactly what we were looking for! Ramon, accompanied by two other servers, guided us through a dining journey unlike anything we three midwesterners have ever experienced! A perfectly matched wine, thin sliced ham and olives preceded our main course of Cocida. Ramon answered all of our questions and taught us how to best enjoy this marvelous dish! The delicious apple dessert, coffee and after dinner liqueur capped off a perfect meal! This great food and this wonderful staff came together in this restaurant to create a dining experience that we will never forget! Enjoying dinner at La Rayua is a “Must do” in Madrid! Gracias to all of the staff...And to Ramon, a special thank you for your kindness and patience.

Wonderful experience dining with friends. The restaurant is on a quiet street and was quiet inside, so it was easier to talk. The restaurant manager was a funny, interesting and helpful. He gave excellent advice on the wines and local specialities. The food was delicious with generous portions and the price was affordable. Highly recommended.
