Went to La Lonja at the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel and had a great experience! Loved being able to select our own seafood - the calms were flambéd right in front of us. Each dish was expertly prepared and dessert was delicious. Would definitely come again.

We had a really lovely time here on New Year's Eve, 2017. The meal was a set menu, with a strong emphasis on fish. They definitely know how to cook fish well, and all of the courses were great. The meat dish (venison) was less successful. The wine flowed well, and they provided the traditional grapes at midnight. Service was excellent and the numbers were kept low to keep everything intimate.

Great location, nice view from the windows on the second floor. Food was quite good, although we expected something a bit more impressive, i guess. The kids went with the menu of the day and loved it. Their cheese cake was quite goof but ice cream that went with it was so below average that even my five-year old refused to eat it. Which means it had to be pretty bad.

Overall a pleasant surprise. We arrived at our hotel late in it evening, and got this recommendation from the concierge. As we walked there, we were expected a tourist trap but in the end, it a pretty good. The octopus tentacles and the paella are recommended. I'd normally give it a 4 star but it exceeded expectations.
