Absolutely stunning views, pure rustic cottage. Great host!

We rented the Ingram cottage Sandy Pines last summer under the pretense that it was a waterfront cottage as it was advertied as such. We were also sent the picture of the fire pit on the beach when asked what the fire pit looked like. This cottage is not waterfront and there is no fire pit on the beach. The cottage actually has a shared beach that you have to walk to, which was not fun while 7 months pregnant with a dog and a three year old. When I mentioned to Doug that it was falsely advertised, he responded "I guess you won't be back then" and then proceeded to tell me how he was sick of renters this year. We also paid a cleaning fee and the cottage was not clean. I brought up that the bed in my son's room was covered in dirt and leaves and he told me it did not matter because I would be putting a sheet over it. We also found a pair of underwear down the back of one of the beds.
We came to the cottage with my family on Feb 12 for two nights. On our arrival we found out that there was a problem with a toilet. Later in 2 hours we learned the water stopped coming as well. The owner said that he will compensate. It was agreed that compensation will be 350. He held deposit and compensation for 4 days. Then finally he made e-transfer. But instead of agreed 350 compensation he returned 200. The compensation amount 350 was clearly stated in our emails exchange.
Just spent an amazing Family day weekend despite the frozen pipes ... we had an amazing time. Thank you Doug for all your efforts in keeping the place going for us. You have a gem of a spot.
Just a beautiful cottage with a great view. Supplied with lots of little things you don't think of bringing.
