Wonderful Surf Camp on a beautiful island! The Surf Camp is top notch. The camp is more a newly renovated lodge. The roof terrace is perfect to watch the sunrise, take a midday nap, have breakfast, chill or a barbeque in the evening. The view is breathtaking. We had fresh grapes from the own roof wine yard. The new and amazing kitchen offers everything a cook would ask for and the livingroom is perfect to watch a surf movie or relax with the other guests. Our bed was comfortable and the big rain shower excellent to get warm after the surf. Everything was extremely clean and tidy. There are only 5 rooms. So this place is excellent for retreating. There are two beginner/intermediate surf spots just around the corner by foot. Cecilio the surf teacher is super friendly and helpful. He offers very good beginner courses in small groups and spot guiding for the advanced. Of course the surf on Madeira is not the easiest, but we also came for the nature. There are Grottos, mountain peaks waterfalls and much more to discover. Even though the public transport system on the island is very good I would recommend to rent a car (not from Centauro though;) ). Roads are better than in Germany in my opinion. There is a little supermarket around the corner, a pharmacy, few restaurants and bars. Porto da Cruz is a little cute fisher town. Last but not least the hosts are very friendly and helpful. We only met Andre, but he gave us valuable info to get around. Thanks to the Madeira Surfcamp we had a perfect vacation / surf trip and we can highly recommend coming here.

Amazing month spent at Madeira surf camp. The house is refurbished and the rooftop is amazing to chill, eat some bbq, work etc!!! Helder is very helpful and always available. I needed a last-minute PCR test to fly home and both him and Cecilio we’re doing everything they could to make that happen. Cecilio, the surf instructor is very patient and always encouraging. The surf analysis with the pictures is truly helpful. I will definitely come back. Porto Da Cruz is an amazing town with very good food and nice scenery. Thanks for this great month
Great place! The hotel is completely new and is very comfortable. it has nice terrace and living room. Hélder and André are great surf instructors. I had so much fun! Definitely recommend to do surfing with SurfCamp!
I booked for one week with my cousin for a package with a room and some surfing lessons, it was just awesome. It was my second time surfing and these guys are really good teacher, they also take pictures of you while you are surfing obviously for your instagram but also to use them after to show you how to improve your surfing skills. For the house it was just amazing, the interior is really charming and quite modern, the room was comfortable and the other guests of the house were really nice to meet. I would definitely recommend!
Amazing place! The hostel itself is great, clean and modern with a roof top terrace with views over Porto Da Cruz to the ocean. The beach is 2 minutes walk from the front door and the surf lessons were brilliant. The instructors made a real effort to help you improve and have a lot of fun at the same time
We spent 2 Weeks Surfing with Madeira-Surfcamp. We had a great time, the team of Madeira-Surfcamp always found a nice surfing-spot matching the conditions and the level of the surfers. The teaching was excellent and tailored to the individual people. Last but not least, Madeira is beautiful island. We will definitely come back!
A unique surf school in Madeira. I had a great time at the surf camp and improved my surf skills a lot. Helder is very professional and puts a lot of effort to correct the mistakes of the participants. Highly recommended!
We had an awesome experience! The owner of the surf camp is a really nice guy. He took a lot of time to tell us about great places to see on the island and also to explain to us about the different surf beaches, tides, etc. We are advanced beginners. We took a lesson once, it was just one teacher and the two of us and we didn't pay the price of a private lesson but a normal lesson. The teachers are very professional and always know where the conditions are best. They also give you very helpful advise. They are very honest. If the conditions are not good, they will tell you and they don't try to sell you something. We also received high quality pictures. Would go back anytime! Thanks a lot Helder! :-)
