We have had invaluable help and support on lead pulling, recall and good dog manners from Joanna during a session this week with Beau, our Border Collie. Joanna was sympathetic, understanding and reassuring. The session was informative and hands on too. We took Beau for a walk so Joanna could show us how to overcome his lead pulling and we let him off his lead for the first time, having previously been advised not to let him off until his recall was sound. Beau was thrilled and we were filled with confidence on learning that he would come back to us and not run off. As Joanna says, “Practise makes perfect”, so we will continue to follow Joanna’s advice, especially on being consistent with our training, saying ‘no’ and overcoming Beau’s lead pulling habit whilst having lots of fun playing off the lead on the beach. We contacted Joanna following concerns about our dog (Luna). Luna is a four year old fox red Labrador who is very different to our previous dog Amber. Amber was very laid back and not afraid of any noises. Luna is full of energy and loves everybody, however she recently reacted quite badly to thunder, cowering in a corner (going into a shower cubicle) and appearing wide eyed, shaking and sometimes drooling. This fear of thunder then widened to other 'rumbling' sounds....the bin lorry, bins being moved, a car going past. We were worried that these reactions were getting out of hand and bit extreme so we contacted Joanna for help. At the time Joanna was very busy supporting other dogs and their owners, but she offered advice over the phone and we made an appointment to see Joanna a couple of weeks later. Joanna then had a cancellation and rang us to make an appointment to see us a week earlier. Joanna came round to her house, met with Luna, and offered lots of advice, support and reassurance on how to 'manage' Luna's noise phobia. Joanna has left us with techniques to try and the confidence that we can support Luna. Thanks Joanna, your advice has been invaluable.

THANK YOU JOANNA!! After complaints from our new neighbours about our two Jack Russell's barking I called Joanna. After some basic training (for me) and lots of sound advice calm has descended on our household. Hopefully the neighbours will be happy too. So it's five stars from me and five stars from Gidget and Midge

It’s been fantastic to meet Joanna and Crawford this afternoon to help me and Marvin with reactive behaviour. Joanna was really insightful and helped me really understand why Marvin is reacting to things and what we need to practice going forward to unlearn some bad habits and gain more confidence. She didn’t give up on us until we could walk past a strange dog without a reaction so I could feel what it was like. I was also reassured that some of what I do with Marvin are the right things, I just need to practice relaxing Ha! I can do this Really motivated to start practicing on our walks and will keep you updated. Thanks again, xx

Joanna Helped me turn my near uncontrolled pup into a happy well balanced dog. Without her help I would probably have had to put my dog up for adoption.
