Santiago Tacoronte

Place: Next to the train station and the big mall part dieu. Very central. Decoration is cosy with a cave on the wall. Soft music and low lights, perfect for a nice meal :-) Service: friendly and attentive, in french mainly. We were accomodated at the entrance and given a spacious table. Service was slightly slow but still ok. Food: generous portions, well decorated, not in excess but classy, they have a set menu quite interesting wit 3 choices per course. They have also a kids menu.l, composed by fish or meat with a side. We had swordfish tartar to start, very nicely marinated. Tart fine au jambon et truffle was amazing. Crunchy tasty and delicious. Main course was Saute de Canard (sauted duck): well cooked with a meat sauce with green pepers. Side was Dauphine potatoes(creamy), very tasty with a touch parmesan cheese. Pluma de cochon, sauce au chorizo (pork filet and chorizo sauce): pork was bit dry but edible, chorizo sauce was average and the mashed potatoes the same. For the kids we had steamed salmon with white rice. It was very straight forward which is good for kids. Dessert was Tulip of seasonal fruits with chantilly and mont blanc revisite en Macaron. Nothing remarkable. I would have given a 4.5 but is not possible.

The food and wine was very good. Too few staff which causes waiting for drinks. Nevertheless the staff was welcoming and nice. Was there with a larger international group (English menus are available). All in all everyone liked the place.

Restaurant propre, accueillant, dans un quartier d'affaires. Manque de propositions végétales dans leur menu cependant. Dessert léger si vous préférez digérer tranquillement. La qualité des mets est excellente.
