I've been here several time and the service has always been terrible. So I can say that unfortunately was not an isolated episode. The price and quality of beer and food are in line of what you can usually find in Lyon (so quite expensive) but the service is in incredibly bad. I don't know if the waiting staff is underpaid ot treated bad but they are horrible towards the customer, even when I go with my French friends (so is not related to prejudice towards foreigners). They let you wait forever, ignore you several time even if they clearly see you and when they finally came to take your order it looks like if they're making you a favor. Honestly this place has nothing more that all the other around university, so I warmly suggest to customer to go to a place were they are welcomed with a smile and not considered as an annoying issue by the waiting staff.
It's a nice place with nice food, ambience, good service, suitable for children. A place for sports fan, especially happy hour. Parking can be difficult, best to go on métro if you're in Lyon.
You can eat good food with great choices of beer ;)

. Any time i come to the Lyon and stay at the nearest hotel i visit this restaurant. I was nrver disappointed. Dishes are fresh, tasty, good looking. The atmosphere in restaurant is also very nice. Problem may be English depending on which waiter(s) comes to us, but generally it is fine. MENU IS ONLY IN French. But that is not a problem for me - i always ask staff to translate into English. I can only recommend that place.
