The obelisk (aka Scone Pinnacle) is a monument on the top of Murrayshall Hill. The views from the obelisk are 360. Short walk to the MacDuff's Monument. Part of the Scone circular walk.

Over 930 feet above sea level (according to my phones altimeter app) affords a magnificent view all around. You'd want to do the walk on a fine day because parts of the path are quite steep in places and could get slippery if rained on. Be prepared to possibly meet some cattle on the way but they're fine as long as you keep your distance, don't wave a red cape at them and don't have a free roaming dog. A 'quick' walk from Central Perth (near the Tourist Info Centre), over the railway bridge and up and over Kinnoull Hill through part of Deuchny Woodland Park up to the Obelisk and back took me about 4 hours. Well worth the effort on a fine day when you can see for miles from the top or even on a foggy day when you walk up through it to look down at the top of the fog 'blanket' as shown on some of my older attached photos. You might want to stop in at MacDuff's Monument which is only a short detour on the way.
Bit of a walk to get there but great views
