Spring is in the air and I was anxious to clean up my landscaping around my home and pool. I previously purchased all my mulch from another area landscaping store and knew exactly what worked well and what I wanted. My husband wanted to order from Scott’s and try their product to see if there is a difference so we did. What a mistake! They delivered the wrong mulch and said there was a miscommunication and to many assumptions going on. I requested that they come and remove the mulch since it was the wrong mulch and waited for a response. Finally I was told they would charge 225(a restocking fee) I understand they are a business and it would be a process to remove the mulch but the mulch delivered was not what I purchased. Customer satisfaction is not guaranteed! I will never purchase anything from them again. Their mulch is way over priced and customer service is not a priority just their bottom line.

Scotts delivered me some rock to line a veggie garden, and the soil and compost. It's been the most productive garden even through winter. They backed the truck to where it left the materials right where I needed them and when I needed more to completely fill the garden area they delivered within an hour! I can plant it densely like a raised bed. Helpful service and good prices. I will be using them for more materials I didn't realize they carried.

I ordered 3 truckloads of coarse gravel for my driveway, they brought crusher run instead. Not only was it the wrong type of gravel, but when they spread it, there were mounds over 2 feet tall in some areasa while others were left bare. I understand that they can only do so well when spreading, but it was so bad that the truck driver left a note apologizing for how poorly the spread went. When I brought this up to the manager, he offered to come out and take a look. He confirmed that they did indeed deliver crusher run instead of what I ordered. Then he told me that I actually should have gotten crusher run instead of what I ordered. I told him I didn't want the crusher run, because instead of water draining through the gravel when it rains, the crusher run will create a hard pack impervious surface, creating runoff and erosion issues on my property which were never an issue before the spread. He basically said too bad and offered partial refund (refunded about 20%), so now I am stuck with 3 truckloads of something I didn't even order, and the manager seemed just fine with that. I am not the only person that has had Scott's deliver them the wrong type of mulch or gravel either. Additionally, the compost they sell is awful and essentially devoid of everything that compost should have, like microbes and high organic and nutrient content. I will never shop here again, and would encourage you to get your mulch and compost from another local business, such as Rustic View Nursery on Waterlick or Rain Frost Nursery off of 460. Shop anywhere but here.
