We visited the pebble beach side which had very few visitors and they were all physically distancing. The place is amazing, with fossils to be found even as one walks along the beach and among the rocks. My teenage sons were engaged and entertained throughout the day and the visit. We were fortunate to find some actual fossils that we were able to photograph. It was a great day out in the open air. There was some confusion about the availability of open public toilets and these are there, one just has to look for them. Lunch was bought from a local fish and chip shop and was great. Well worth a visit.

You can't come to this stretch of coastline and not see fossils. They are everywhere. Personally I'm not educated in fossils at all but this place is a true sight to behold. Parking in town was a real issue but it was the summer holidays. Friendly town. The beach is mainly rocks with the sound of people taking away with hammers on rocks everywhere. Really strange but definitely a great experience. My little girl loved it and so did we. Tip: wear sensible shoes because the terrain is rough and can be very slippery

I loved this fossil beach. Get there when the tide is low to see hundreds of ammonites

Love this place. If you are going with the intention of fossil hunting be sure to check the tide times first. Also the carpark at the top of the hill is long stay and 2 for the day but is a very steep walk back up! Beach is nice with life guards during the summer months. Lots of shops and places to eat.

The most interesting part of the beach is the amazing flat horizontal pavement with the many large embedded ammonites. Despite my wife found a nice small ammonite piece at walking back we did rather fossil \looking\ than fossile \hunting
