First time fly fishing today with a buddy to guide me. Dwayne, the owner, was so helpful, informative and welcoming. Lovely relaxed feel to the whole day in a cracking location. Managed to bag a couple of rainbows thanks to Dwayne's guidance. Really well looked after and thought out site. Dwayne has put his heart and soul into this and it shows! I wish you every success buddy, its deserved !!

I went to fish these ponds with a fly rod that was bequeathed to me by my partners father. Never tried fly-fishing prior to this, but being into coarse fishing since birth, and having been given a rod that was someones pride and joy, I decided I had to have a go. The guy who was looking after the on-site tackle shop that day was an absolutely invaluable source of useful information for a novice (such as I was) to have access to. He could see I was struggling with casting, so he shut-up the shop and came over to the lake. He then proceeded to give me a masterclass in casting, and persevered until he was sure I had it. I have been back several times since then, and have caught so very good fish from both of the main pools. I now realise that if you are going to try fly fishing, it's important that you have guidance. Had I not been helped that day, I may well have never gone again, and hence would have missed-out on what I now consider one of the best types of fishing ever conceived of! The shop on site is very well stocked, and you could turn up there with no fishing gear at all. and for very little money (less than 100) you could be fishing within 30 minutes...

Had fun fishing the top pond which is designed and stocked for novices like me. Caught a couple and lost a couple. Will be going back to fish the main lake at a later date. I'd definitely recommend this place and even more so if you're a beginner. Friendly owner too.
