Very charming staff. Great food. Fantastic location. I called ahead to book and asked to sit outside, they recommended we sit inside for our meal as it was expected to be a cold evening, but reserved an outside table for us to enjoy some drinks and still catch the sunset. Very grateful for their wonderful hospitality.

Fabulous view from the terrace at the Jazz Sunday lunch. Music good but food really disappointing, not a par on last year's experience. I know times are tough but Brazilian theme of stew with beans and ice cream dessert really not good enough, not sure if we would return.
Lovely venue and band were great. Sadly let down by the manager and the strict rules surrounding the set menu. If you do not chose the set menu you are expected to pay 8 for the band. Had the manager been more understanding and friendly we would have spent the whole afternoon drinking and eating tapas. Instead we paid the bill and left. Would not return
Excelent place, very good meal with fantastic view on beach belowe. Very friendly staff. Also the meal is for very reasonable price. Worth to visit multiple times during your stay in this region.
Tasty chicken piri piri with an outstanding outdoors garden looking out on the seafront. But the octopus salad was disappointing.
It's a beautiful view. That's it. The food is really not that good and way too expensive. If you just want a beer, enjoy! But take my word for it, overpriced, the service isn't that great, but the food is the worst. I don't like to be negative, but Fortaleza DA LUZ is a big NO for me.
A cozy restaurant Located in the fortress of Luz with a beautiful garden and nice beach view but very windy and chilly in the evening, remember to carry a jumper. We had the cataplana plata for 2 which is 42 euro. They will offer you some bread starter with different spreads and olives and stuff that costs around 8 euro. Also be aware that if you prder bread with the cataplana you pay an additional 2.50 euro. The service was good and fast. The cataplana is tasty but considering the price the portions are a bit too little.
We were looking for a romantic place for our anniversary dinner. We chose it because it was an old fort and it didn't disappoint. We chose the cataplana for two. It was really tasty and very filling. Staff were so lovely and friendly even though we asked to move to a quieter table as there was a large party in. The homemade ice cream that accompanied the almond tart was heavenly.
