I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and ask everyone to take this rating with a grain of salt, as we went here for lunch and were trying to eat healthy. We weren't able to get the carving plate (Sunday's only) and had to order from a very limited menu, and decided on a burger and the hunter's chicken without BBQ sauce, and some other things that weren't at all memorable. The burger was rather average and unremarkable, and the hunter's chicken was especially dry and tasteless. The one outstanding impression from this experience was the excellent service- everyone greeted us with a smile, the waitresses ran back and forth from the kitchen to relay the plethora of dietary questions I wanted answered, they gave us space when we wanted to be left alone and was attentive when we needed service.

My first time visiting here since it was Alfie Browns, and the internal makeover is very stylish, pleasant surroundings that allow you to feel like you have privacy from other patrons. The food was quickly served and very tasty indeed, the menu is quite diverse and comes across as uprated pub grub, certainly worth a visit! Staff were very accommodating and friendly too. COVID restrictions were clearly well thought out and present here.
The food is excellent, Sunday roast beef amazing. Good service. Ambience is better now lighting has improved and noise level lower now screens erected. Food good value.
