This restaurant is a “self service “ type but, having said that, the food was tasty & the portions generous, they also do a “Hungarian taster platter”. The prices were a little higher than elsewhere but that could be because you are inside the Central Market Hall.

Typical hungarian restaurant in the central market of Budapest. Beef stew and potatoes are really juicy! Really nice vibes with live music performance with accordion! Super recommended. Pay attention there may be crowd at the entrance and the place will close at 3:00pm (on Sunday it’s closed).

It's located inside the Central Market Hall and attracts a large crowd. It has a buffet system. They have a good variety of main course and desserts but the food that we had was below average in taste. I feel bad writing this because as we left the restaurant there was a person standing outside asking everyone who left the restaurant as to how they liked the food. It would be better if they checked the Google reviews rather than ask everyone because not all of us feel comfortable saying upsetting things about your restaurant. If you are open to suggestions you should see the reviews here and consider them for your benefit. The live music was the only saving grace :) One more thing. The servers looked like they're doing us a favor by serving us the food which is not how you should treat guests to your country. If you don't want to smile it's upto you but you need to be polite and more professional. That's the first rule in building a good relationship with the customers.

It’s located at the first floor of the Central Market building in Budapest. The Fakanal Restaurant is a self service restaurant with many Hungarian sausages, drinks including beer, sweets and so on. The atmosphere is nice and the staff can speak English! Recommended if you are in Budapest.

Our kids said good, I said good, wife said good... so it must b good. Some said expensive, from where we're from, it's reasonable. I recommend it. I honestly think as a tourist, a place can't go wrong for the price you pay.

Self service shop. It is not the best food in town but it is quite good. Be prepared to pay reasonable prices.

Eve's Curios

One of the bigger eatery at the central market. There was live music played by the band and ambience was vibrant. The seat was warm and food variety was good. We had goulash and pork knuckle. Simple Hungarian food
