Absolutely sublime wedding dresses - from the moment I arrived at the studio, I felt comfortable, relaxed - not like I've felt in other bridal shops. It feels like doing Lucy a disservice calling LCD a 'bridal shop' because it's so much more than that. As a plus size woman, who has spent most of her life feeling awkward & uncomfortable in shops, Lucy made me feel at ease straight away - she was candid, intuitive & created an atmosphere of 'nothings off limits'. My dress - Dark Matter - was the anti-bridal dress of dreams. It was bridal without being corseted & traditional & boiling hot like the other traditional bridal dresses I had tried on (can't pee, can't sit down, can't dance, can't eat - whats the point!). From start to finish - Lucy was incredible, and for custom made dresses, the prices are amazing. I wish I had another reason to come back and do it all over again...! I could not have been happier with my amazing LCD dress :) I'd loved the dip dyed Lola dress after seeing it in Rock the Frock but fell hard for Pulp Fiction with its gorgeous full skirt. My dress was made to measure and used vegan bamboo silk which Lucy went to some effort to source (and dye!) for me, and having something hand made with such care and personalised for me made my finished wedding dress feel even more special. Everything about the process of having my dress made by Lucy was fantastic - the studio was awesome and full of fun details, the music was great and I really enjoyed the time with Lucy - especially planning my awesome pom pom veil! I felt awesome on the day, my dress was so unique, looked amazing at our ceremony in the desert and really importantly - was super comfy and very danceable!
Before finding Lucy Can’t Dance I was really struggling with finding a wedding dress and was starting to feel a bit low about myself when trying stuff on. As soon as I met Lucy in her awesome tropical studio I was immediately put at ease, and knew I’d find ‘the one’! Not only were her designs stunning, unusual and remarkably comfortable, but I felt like I could really be the best me in one of them. Lucy is absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful and immensely talented and I would recommend her in a heartbeat. Now I just need to find another occasion to rock out my amazing wedding dress! Thank you Lucy and team - you are incredible, and you made me feel like an absolute rockstar! Love Amy xx
An absolute gem! A selection of flawless dresses to be found in a wickedly colourful studio. Lucy was super welcoming and was so patient with me while I tried on dresses. Cannot wait to go back!! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
The biggest thank you to lovely Lucy who made me the comfiest, dreamiest wedding dress! You made this awkward little shrimp who lives in Vans and dungarees feel like a long-limbed, botanical queen! Lucy's business is no doubt going to flourish and I can't wait to see more brides feeling awesome in her super cool creations :)
