DBW is located in picturesque settings, in a bay that glows with stunning sunsets and sunrises especially in summer. It is a functional, jetty terminal for the East by West Ferry (Dominion Post Ferry) as well as an invaluable, recreational asset and icon of the Eastbourne suburb. The beautiful, surrounding beaches are popular with locals and visitors who sunbath, picnic, ski-jet and engage in many other marine activities around the bay while the pier attracts local youths who enjoy it hugely as a jumping platform in summer. It is close to a bus-stop and shops like the Pavilion across the road, where you can rehydrate and refuel your energy tanks on long, hot days especially in the " Summertime where the livin' is easy..." !
Nice Wharf would be a great spot to go in the summer.
