Charming hotel with breath-taking ocean view! Lovund Hotel offering a fantastic view to other islands and mountains on the beautiful coast of Helgeland. You could stay in fishermen’s cabins or in the brand-new hotel part of the place as I did. My comfortable corner room (no 17) was well appointed, spacious, spotlessly clean and faced the ocean whit breath taking views (see my attached photos). Nespresso coffee machine in room were a nice treat. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Everything one would need was provided. The hotel restaurant offers excellent food, like fish caught outside the islands. Breakfast was good, with a variety of options. The decor is very nice, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Went to Lovund on a study trip for Up Norway, and cannot wait to send guests to this remarkable island near The Arctic Circle. Very impressed with the stylish hotel and its friendly hosts. Food - centred around the local salmon - was excellent, and the panorama window lounge was the perfect place to relax and reflect. We particularly enjoyed our guided walk to "the end of the world" and seeing the iconic Lovund puffin-mountain lit Up in the night with a thousand stars and Northern lights above it.
