I purchased some alloy wheels which were meant to be 'brand new'. They arrived damaged with chips and various scuffs. Dealing with Simon wasn’t pleasant at all once there was a problem. I sent pictures of the damage in which I was told it was the couriers fault (no chance as they were packaged to well, they would have been like this at the dealership) and I would have to wait and be informed once a claim had been made to the courier service. As this was an eBay purchase I was protected and could receive my money back if I wished, however I gave an option of a partial refund for me to have the wheels refurbished. I supplied quotes for this only to be told various times that it was too expensive and unreasonable and he was only willing to pay me 50 per wheel. There were 2 damaged wheels and I had various quotes all around the 90 per wheel mark. I was accused of lying about this prior to sending my quotes. Eventually I reluctantly settled for 75 per wheel so I will now be our of pocket for receiving damaged goods that was not my fault at all. I had to get eBay to step in to be paid this money as well as I had various messaged ignored. Very negative experience.

Took my car for its MOT, was told the car failed and was quoted 425 to have it fixed (drop link and brake pipes). I had a friend pick the car up to do the work, and it turned out that the MOT tester missed the fact my flexipipe had disconnected from the exhaust and that I was missing 2 drop links instead of the one. They also put down a corroded fuel pipe as an advisory but my mechanic told me this should of been put down as a dangerous/repair immediately. A friend of mine also took their car to thurlby motors and it was failed due to emissions, after hearing about what I had gone through, it took it to another MOT tester and it was passed with no problems. Do not take your car here unless you want to be ripped off
