Superb place - used to hold regular events every Saturday here and was a great venue to meet at and the food was amazing. Of course: I've now gone vegan, but everyone can appreciate good meat.

Dirty cutlery and dirty glasses. That salad is the 'super green salad'. There is nothing super and very little green about it.
First time visiting this Toby Location and I must say it's one of the best ones I've been to. They have track & trace & social distancing measures in place. At the carvery, the server puts everything on your plate for you so as to avoid multiple people touching utensils etc....The ambiance of this restaurant was perfect (could be the area we were seated) The portion size was very generous, the service was good and the food tasted really good. I would definitely visit again
Worst Toby Carvery experience i've ever had. Went to order a gin drink- they didnt have it. So I ordered a Mojito. The mojito arrived with NO mint just two bits of lime. I assumed they had made a mistake with my drink so explained I had ordered a Mojito to be told 'Oh yeh we dont have any mint didn't anyone tell you?' Well no- nobody told me, or else I wouldn't have order a Mojito given that mint is a main ingredient-baffled! I then ordered a THIRD drink- an ale. Can't go wrong with a beer?! Apparantly these guys can. The beer was flat. By this point I couldn't be bothered to ask again for a drink. Now onto the food. My partner ordered the carvery- no worries. I went to order a Mushroom and Ale pie- they didn't have that. So again I had to pick something else. I went for the allotment pie(just because it was the ONLY other thing on the menu I could eat and not by choice). This arrived mostly edible although the crust was SO hard that I couldn't even stab my knife through it. With no desire to stay we asked for the bill. The drinks had been removed-great and rightly so! But we then realise we had been charged for 2 carveys AND the allotment pie meal when there was only 1 carvery. The lady explained we could have a refund BACK ONTO THE CARD we paid and it would go back onto the card after around 10 days. However she then returned with the refund amount in CASH. We didnt not ask for cash and neither is this a Covid safe way to refund our money. Really disappointing guys
Great food for good value
Good Carvery for the money. Staff seem to be struggling to serve everyone with the lack of people on the ground. Maybe invest in a few more staff. Apart from that, if you fancy a good Sunday dinner and can't be bothered to cook, it's the perfect place. I suggest downloading the app before you go!
The guys serving were cheerful and chatty and when I said I had come for my roasties (I love roasties), I received a lovely pile on my plate, yum!!! The meal was so tasty and that gravy Mmmmn, I could just eat another carvery now . Everything was perfect. 5*****'s to the team at Loughborough' s Toby. Excellent meal and excellent service
Really enjoyed our trip back to Toby Carvery Loughborough, the tables have been thinned and they serve all of the veg and drinks to your request so there is no cross contamination. It feels as safe as it could considering the current environment. We will definitely be returning again soon.
