Los Mellizos is a seafood restaurant located in the heart of Malaga. Los Mellizos Malaga has to appear on my list of best tapas bars in Malaga, it offers a wide variety of rice dishes, paellas, seafood and renowned fried fish or ”pescaito frito”. The restaurant features a special area for tapas where you can taste half portions of all their dishes, you can also enjoy the tapas in their terrace. The quality of food and service both are excellent. We tasted the local specialities Ensalada de Pimientos Asados and Chanquetes, we also had a plate of Boquerones al Limon, the food was very delicious. To dieeee for! The arroz con carabineros was grand! It had bits of fish which I’m not a big fan of (guess you can ask without it if you don’t like it) but the flavour of that juicy rice was like being in heaven! Also, try the Vieiras gratinadas, it’s a big shell scallop with prawns, tomato sauce and a delicious bechamel.
Nice place on the city center. Staff is very attentive. Great selection of fish and Arroces. I recommend to make a a reservation, on dinner is hard to get a table.
We went for my birthday meal. It was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The fish was spectacular. I had hake and my friend had seabass. Both were superb. The staff also sang happy birthday (I think) in Spanish and I got a few dessert. Was very good.
Food was good. Portions a bit small. Place was tiny, not much room to sit and not very comfortable.
