Ever since covid hit I noticed quality of food dropped significantly at many of my favorite food places. El Chato Taco was not the exception. I don't know if the their food sucks or if it's just the way it's being packaged that makes the food bad, not appealing and taste the same.

Such a random location for a food truck but doesn't matter considering how delicious these tacos are. definitely the best fish tacos I've ever had. The batter stays so crispy and the toppings are fresh for good crunch and texture. I always do one fish and one Ricky's special taco which is fish and shrimp in one. Two tacos hold me over and is good enough for me.

I don't always like fish but when I do have fish I make it El Chato Taco Truck tacos. The batter is light and ingredients fresh. It is simple and delicious. I have been following since it was two fryers in a parking lot to China Town and than food truck. Delicious as always.

The fish tacos here are truly the best I've tried in CA. On top of that, they're literally as authentic as can be. When I tried them they seriously reminded me of the days when I would go down to Baja almost every other weekend to enjoy the best fish and shrimp tacos as I would overlook the ocean. I highly recommend this place, it seriously won't disappoint!
