Julio turned a family heirloom, a diamond cross necklace, into a beautiful custom made ring for me. Not only is he very knowledgeable about designing jewelry, but he is so patient - I asked a lot of questions. Julio was so helpful in creating what is now my favourite ring. I get so many compliments! If you're looking to have a ring made, recycle your heirloom jewelry or just want to treat yourself to something shiny that you know will be made with care and attention - Julio is your man.

I was across the street at the Post Office and noticed this quaint, little jewelry store at Vermont and Franklin. It didn’t say much but I wanted to check it out as I didn’t fancy my usual treck to the Jewelry District downtown. I walked in and said what I was looking for and suddenly I see vast amounts of necklaces and bracelets put right out in front of me to choose from. Wendy was extremely helpful with her knowledge and main man Julio made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Best part of it was, after finding this little gem I no longer will be making those tiresome trips downtown in search of a good deal.
I love this place because they have wonderful customer service. I brought a very uniquely cut sapphire ring here after 2 of the stones were lost. I was expecting to pay more than I paid for the ring to have it repaired, but after speaking to Lorraine and Jack, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they would replace the stones for no charge. Since this was such a unique cut they had keep the ring for a few weeks in order to match a sapphire's color and size. Lorraine called to update me before she went on vacation to let me know that they had found a replacement stone and it would just take a couple more weeks to cut it into shape. Jack gave me a call about a week later to let me know that the ring was completed. I was so excited and grateful to have it back looking like nothing had happened. Thank you both for your excellent service! I will definitely be back in the future!
Julio worked with my partner and I to get exactly the engagement ring we wanted. He walked us through every step, creating for us a digital rendering, then giving us a 3D printed model to try on. He is kind and knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He was frank about cost and sourcing, everything that was a priority to us. We even had some of my partner's parents jewelry melted down and used for the band, giving the ring some history. We couldn't be happier with his work, and feel lucky to have the first heirloom of our new family. NOTE: All of this was done safely in the pandemic, often through great effort from Julio. He actually drove the ring to my home when it was finished, and handed off from his car!
Artisan Jewelry LA is quite possibly the best business I've ever worked with! Julio custom built my fiancé's engagement ring using repurposed family heirlooms and did an unbelievably good job. It took me a lifetime to decide on a center stone and to acquire the heirlooms but Julio and Juliana were patient, friendly, committed, communicative, and dedicated the entire process. They went above and beyond in every way and I couldn't be more grateful. And most importantly, the RING LOOKS AMAZING (and she said yes). For all things jewelry, this is the place to be! Can't wait to get started on our wedding bands.
