Genuinely surprised by this hidden gem of woods. It's worth the trip out if you live centrally us the Common doesn't offer near as much in surrounding beauty as Lords Wood does.

Lovely woods for a walk. Reasonably quiet despite closeness to the motorway
My favourite place to run from home. Packed full of wildlife. Shame about the occasional Mx bikes that ruin the tranquility.
The largest nature filled space within easy reach of Southampton centre. Great place to run, walk or cycle but prepare for mud if it has been raining.
Lovely woodland walls, but needs a bin for dog bags.
