Arrived here at 02:15 for a 04:00 sailing. The fog was so thick that I couldn't find the terminal!!! I actually ended up in the HGV line!!! Decent staff allowed me to enter and leave via an out of bounds gate. Not the greatest bit of direction signage I've ever experienced. UPDATE: I arrived here for a 02:00 sailing on 31/10/2018...and was greeted by one of the French border control ladies...resplendent in her Halloween make up!!! Quite astonishing work, she was super friendly and spoke impeccable English. This terminal has no decent facilities and the snack vending machines took 20 from me but gave me nothing back? If you are using this place...stock up...BEFORE arrival.

Ferry service is good, ferry terminal uninspiring. The toilets are relatively clean - not surprisingly very well frequented by truck drivers. Only vending machines. No Café or bar inside!

Prices are higher and usual standards are gone. Due to the pandemic?

Where dreams and digestion come to die. Seriously, eat elsewhere (vending machines only) and don't arrive early for your ferry.

People working in booths do a decent job. On the other hand, them lot checking every vehicle are just terrible. Their behaviour towards passengers is bad, as they barely speak english. Lady dropped a our backpack after opening rear door. Next to no communication, grumpy people, should've asked me to open that door, after asking to open boot and taking stuff out. Absolutely irresponsible and horrible experience. You're being treated like a potential terrorist of some kind. I'd suggest to change staff or train them accordingly. Terminal itself looked deserted, but it's rather understandable at 3 am. Borading was smooth, so no complains there.
