Went for dinner with an omni friend on a Thursday night. No waiting. Clean and spacious with not too loud music. We shared Mango Spring Rolls and Spinach Dip appetizers. Both were very tasty. My friend was so impressed. He ordered the Spicy Papaya Roll, which weren’t spicy. He didn’t like the sauce but did enjoy the rolls. I ordered the ‘Toona’ Wrap which didn’t taste like tuna but was a very flavorful combination of veggies and so huge I only ate half. Looking forward to eating the other half for lunch.

The customer service is on point. I like the interior design of the store. The meal is very earthy, in a good way. The Ish -- BBQ Cheezeburger is really good and a surprise for my taste buds. The Beet/Walnut patty is crunchy and soft. The seed onion bread slices are new to me. I like the way everything fits between the seed onion slices bite after bite; the burger is full and not sloppy. The flavor of the sprouts is good. The BBQ sauce, onions, and juiciness of the tomato are a lingering mixing tasty aftertaste. The Kale Chips are tasty though beware of stems, they are not all chewable .

I am enamored with this place! I was in a mood today and could not figure out what to eat!... luckily I found this place. My husband called to make sure they were indeed gluten free as google says they are and the girl that answered was full of answers! I love that! I love it when I call a place they know the answers to questions about allergens in their food!!!!! Gah!!!! Ahem... moving on... when you walk in their doors, you are greeted by a relaxed vibe with lots of wood and plants and cleanliness! They also have merchandise for sale from local merchants! The menu is full of options in all of their vegan, healthy glory! Let me preface by saying that I am by no means a vegan. I love meat very much. BUT I have grown to hold vegan food options in very high regard. I find it fascinating and a breath of fresh air. How vegans have come to create these magnificent dishes that mimic carnivorous dishes I will never comprehend but boy am I glad they exist! I chose to order more than one option to give them a true try. I ordered the \crunch wrap\ and the \cucumber cream cheese\ roll. The crunch wrap was by far my favorite! Even though fast food has moved to plant based options I will continue to get my fix here! The cucumber roll was also very delicious but could not help but feel as though I could have made it at home for myself. Lets be honest, I would probably fail to match the expertise of these guys so I will leave it to them.. but it was a bit underwhelming compared to the crunch wrap! That is by no means a negative comment towards the dish! It was so good! Congrats Under the Sun! You are on the list of my favorite health food/vegan spots in Long Beach!

Didn’t get anything but eventually will come back to try. Everything looked delicious, and the people are very friendly. Love the local vibe.

I'm not vegan, but I love to try different types of foods. The faux pasta was good, but for me it tasted more like a salad. I would not call it a great sub for pasta. The vegan cardamom cake was flavorful, creamy, and simply delicious. Really no need of cream cheese. The coffee subs are also not my type. I had one at another vegan restaurant before, and was not very impressed. I wanted to give it another shot, but could not get myself to like it. But hey, at least it's supposed to be healthy with its Indian spices. The restaurant is somewhat pricey, but you'll leave with a feeling of having fueled up on nutritious stuff. So totally worth it and it seems they make everything fresh and use high quality ingredients. Huge part that adds to the good feeling is the beautiful interior.
