So I was recently booked onto a html5 & css3 training course; this was to include Wordpress. The tutor Kevin Upson; clearly knew his stuff and was an experienced programmer. His knowledge and the way he explained throughout the course was great, as there was only two of us attending we got a great almost one-one value for money and could ask questions along the way. As I’ve been practicing and self teaching web design independently, this gave me a boost of confidence and helped to cover a few fundamental gaps in my learning that I’d over looked. The setup was great, having access to a filter coffee machine (milk was provided daily) and daily lunch vouchers which gave me a massive discount on some local sushi. Only thing I would say is that the lessons felt a little short or - (‘condensed’) but really I think the things were taught- with coding and programme skill progression it’s more a case of : PUT IN THE TIME TO PRACTICE & YOU WILL BE REWARDED WITH XP. Thankyou, would definitely use this service again.

The Adobe After Effects ACA is an excellent course. Marek, the instructor was very helpful, patiently answering the same questions more than once if needed. The setup is probably the best for learning, as students can watch the teacher's screen live on a separate monitor on their desks, which makes it much easier to follow than frequently looking up to a blackboard. Great plus for that. The location, amenities are good too, and students receive a large AE book with exercises for further practicing (some tasks overlap with those covered on the lesson). If I have to mention some negative that would that sometimes technical issues occur with the computers, especially on the advanced course, which can break the pace of the lesson. But that's technology for you. If you're self-funding the training, they can be a bit pricey, depending on your circumstances, so try to look out for bundles. If it is paid by your company, then it is definitely worth going for XChange.
It was not the best training course I had, unfortunately, there were a few things I didn't like it, the computer was often not working, crashing for different reasons, the desk could have been at least cleaned a bit before the lesson, the chair was not comfortable, and most importantly, the teacher was often diverting the lessons to waste time in things not related to the course. One day in particular of the intensive day, we were only two people, and we asked for more examples of things to learn, and he was rude, saying that he already explained us a lot, we felt that often he wanted to us to finish early, we were watching video every day on YouTube to learn more, and ask questions, because we both felt that the training was not enough for what we want to do or learn, and the teacher was not interested in helping us to learn more. The price of the course is not cheap, so we were expecting a high-quality training, unfortunately, I think we didn't have that. I already have in mind to have other courses booked but unfortunately I have to find another school. Two positive things, the school is in a good location, perfect for travelling, and they offer lunch voucher 5.
We attended the AutoCAD two day course. Great tutor, obviously experienced in what he was teaching, he was very patient and helpful and handled the course with a great sense of humour.
Absolutely fantastic. I will definitely look to Xchange again for further training. The teacher was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and patient. The group was a good size, big enough to be varied, small enough for lots of personal attention. A star.Thanks Xchange.
