Gem of a place not far from Brixton market. Movies for kids every Saturday morning at a fraction of the standard price with the added bonus of a quirky relaxed venue. Totally worth a visit or ten!
I went to see the "Premier" of a short film here as a stand in for my son. The venue is a little tricky to find as it is on a street that is not very well lit and is home to "lock up" businesses. There is no parking in the Street of the venue but you can get parking on the main road, which was okay for me with a blue badge. There is a bus that runs on the main road, past the access road to the venue, so public transport is available. There is no wheelchair access. The entrance opens to a fairly steep flight of iron stairs up to the viewing area. Not disabled friendly or for mothers with prams or very small children. No signs for the toilet. I do not know if they have disabled facilities. The venue is small and intimate with a small bar. They do not sell food. The bar staff were friendly and the venue clean. Although trains are passing overhead this did not detract from the filming. The lighting on the stairs could have been better as I nearly had a fall missing the final step on the way out!
Really cool dinky little independent cinema with a bar. Sound was good and the screen was fine. There's some noise from trains overhead but it didn't really bother me - it adds to the charm. I mean you're in urban London after all!
Had my birthday here, great staff and great place, mike was amazing
Excellent space. Went to see the Le BadMilk independent film screening. Great staff and will be going there again when they show something else good.
