Have eaten here many times and always enjoyed the food - is undeniably amazing. My vegan partner and I ordered online for valentines day - despite mentioning many times over the phone and emailing that he is vegan which they stated they could accommodate, his food turned up covered in blue cheese. They offered a refund of the affected plates but to be honest while phoning them to find out what else wasn't vegan, there were multiple dishes in his order that turned out to not be vegan, everything else went cold and the meal was ruined. Part of eating food is being able to enjoy that experience with someone and its not particularly fun eating by yourself in front of someone is unable to eat anything - a waste of money. We could have ordered from somewhere else who would have catered for the both of us. The member of staff on the phone was pretty short with me and kept interrupting me when I tried to explain this. Avoid if you have any specific dietary requirements!

Delicious and impressive presentation. We over-ordered but with each dish that arrived, we swooned. The sushi all had a little extra flavour to make it interesting (but no cream cheese or spicy mayo to drown things) The quality of the fish was very high. Only downside is slightly slow drink service at first but after a nudge or two, the rest came promptly. The ambiance is interesting that I’d call rough-hewn Swedish sauna in Hackney (the wood not the steam) meets traditional Japanese seating. Yum.

Amazing Japanese restaurant. Feels authentic like being back in Japan and not pretentious at all. Food is delicious and not to expensive. Totally recommend!
