Trafalgar Square is a top tourist attraction; also the largest Square in London. With the National Portrait Gallery and the Canadian Embassy, the comprehensive look of this Square and its surroundings is fascinating. If Nelson's Column is ahead of you and the Gallery behind, you can find the river straight to the left, straight ahead Queen Elizabeth Tower, the city to your right and behind you is Leicester Square - China Town.

It was during the Covid lockdown that my wife and I had an exercise walk around the city, and visited Trafalgar Square, when it was so quiet compared to the normal hustle and bustle. It was an absolute freezing day after the coldest nights for decades. As you can see by photos and video, there was ice on the fountain. Trafalgar Square is always a nice place to visit and a great atmosphere even during the normal hustle and bustle.

It was Fabulous on my first visit with plenty of Revellers and people enjoying their time. However,I was shocked to see it closed with Blockade with plenty 5if police and security guards presence. Worst new year's eve ever.

Iconic part of central London, worth walking by if you're on the tourist trail. Thankfully it's less crowded with pigeons than it once was. The national gallery is also here. There's also an outdoor art installation in the square itself that keeps changing -- if that's something you fancy as a local!
