Amazing and incredible experience in the general exhibition. Spent more than 6 hours and fascinated me. The amount of pieces and the quality of em. Great difference in the benches that you can find here, in comparison with the TATE or the British Museum, in every room you will be able to find a bench so that you can spend as much time as you want on each room. Is friendly for people of all ages. A must in London for sure.

Favorite place in London for art! Definitely one of the best galleries worldwide. Love the Caravaggio and Van Gogh paintings! Only thing that I didn’t like on my last visit was the noisy staff who were talking and laughing like they were on the market and not in a gallery.

The National Gallery is a truly amazing place to be, specially for art lovers. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900. Admission to the gallery is completely free, which is not the case in other galleries situated in different European cities. The gallery is very well kept and you'll find all the original paintings of famous painters starting from 13th to 20th century like Duccio, Uccello, van Eyck, Lippi, Mantegna, Botticelli, Dürer, Memling, Bellini, Michelangelo, Raphael, Holbein, Bruegel, Bronzino, Titian, Veronese, Caravaggio, Rubens, Poussin, Van Dyck, Velázquez, Claude, Rembrandt, Cuyp, Vermeer, Canaletto, Goya, Turner, Constable, Ingres, Degas, Cézanne, Monet, and Van Gogh. Apart from the regular galleries, there are also exhibitions held often in this place, along with other events which you could attend if you're interested. Don't forget to visit the National Portrait Gallery too, which is located right by the side of the National Gallery, but often overlooked by the tourists.
