So happy to have tasted such authentic Sichuan style food in this little gem restaurant. The service was warm and helpful. The interior decor feels traditional, welcoming and clean. We had an amazing dinner to celebrate friend's birthday.

Opened only recently, Taste of China is an authentic Sichuan restaurant, whose head chef is Sichuanese himself. Their 20% discount on launch (now sadly no longer available) compelled me to try their hot-pot special (23.90 per person - for an unlimited number of dishes for 2 hours). Overall, the experience was wholly positive. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, recommending the most fresh dishes for the hotpot itself. As many other hot-pot goers may know, fresh produce is of great importance. To begin with, the broth was excellent. The non-spicy broth was incredibly well-made - incredibly fragrant and had a natural but flavourful taste. The spicy broth was to a strong degree of spice but not overpowering. The dishes themselves were good also: the lamb and beef was very up-to-standard as you'd expect. The fish, for me, was by far the highlight and a must-get. The cabbage was fresh. The mushrooms were equally well-soured. However, it must be said that I did not enjoy the tofu as much and the pork was rather average also. There is also a wide array of sauces and dips to experiment with - although, personally, I tend to stick with a sesame or peanut sauce to complement. Generally, this was a brilliant start for the restaurant. I thoroughly recommend others to go and I'll be back to try their other dishes also.
Recent this restaurant have special offer .they offer 2 course lunch menu including cocktail only 8.95. Starter they serve lovely dim sum .and cocktail we can choose taste of Sichuan ,lychee martini and floating godes .if you don’t drink alcohol .you can choose mocktail .this deal is the best I never had . So Both of us had dim sum for starter and I ordered the sweet&sour chicken .my partner ordered spicy prawn .they come with steamed rice .it is delicious,and cocktail .both of us had lychee martini . 2 course lunch menu and both of us had delicious cocktail .only for 17.90.plus the food is so delicious.I could say this is the best chinese I never had . And the service is wonderful ,our waiter Yuri is so lovely .he is very polite and very caring .And I was told they also give free cocktail while eating in for dinner . This is amazing .I think I will not cook at home anymore .will come for lunch every day .8.95 for 2 course lunch and including cocktail .Still can’t believe. Guys hurry up .
Absolutely authentic Sichuan food in London. You will not find one that’s better. Honestly probably the most spicy food I had in UK as well. Highly recommended.
Very tasty food. Always ordering from Deliveroo. Very fresh and tasty. Tried different dishes and they all were amazing. Quick service. Good packaging. Fast delivery. Always fresh. Working till 11:00 pm which is amazing.
