Each time I’m in London, I stop in St. Martin in the Fields in the heart of the city to sit and listen to the beautiful music being rehearsed, admire the beauty of this exquisite church, descend to the historic crypt, visit the elaborate gift shop, and then enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and breakfast in the cafe. A trip to London would not be complete without a stop for spiritual growth at my favorite landmark.

There has been a church on the site since at least the medieval period. It was at that time located in the farmlands and fields beyond the London wall, when it was awarded to Westminster Abbey for oversight.
