I did the Advanced course last week. Great fun, relaxed atmosphere and amazing food. Learnt new ideas and some new recipes. Highly recommended.
I attended a class at Spice Monkey cooking school in Dec 2020 - despite current covid-related restrictions everything went perfectly smooth ! We cooked several dishes together and the day was wonderful, it felt as close as a trip to India (when you can't travel in 2020..). Nik introduced us to some history of Indian cooking which was fascinating, and a tasting of most common spices - enlightening ! Some of the recipes I have replicated at home already only a couple of days after the class. Would highly recommend overall !
My 2nd course here, first post COVID. Obviously still adapting to post COVID, trying to remember that you are wearing visor while you are tasting food was a highlight (think having to wipe visor clean a few times, but also shows that you forget they are there). Yet again wonderful recipes taught in a relaxed, humorous atmosphere with lots to take away (aside from the wonderful take away food). Highly recommended.
Such a great day, a multi-sensory extravaganza....Nik was an excellent mentor to guide us through the tastes, textures, smells, sounds & touch of authentic Indian cooking. A lovely relaxed atmosphere in the conservatory kitchen, stories shared & delicious food to boot. The family were very chuffed to devour the 5 dishes we made when I got home. I've got the amchoor on order already. Thank you.
