Standing near other English Generals, this is perhaps the most famous of them all. The victor of El Alamein and the eventual destroyer of Rommel's North African ambitions he was reputed to be a very difficult man . The statue shows him in a typical pose with his trade mark beret headgear.

This statue is 1st Viscount Bernard Montgomery of Alamein. A World War Two Field Marshal and possibly the most famous of British generals who served in the war. Conqueror of the equally famous Erwin Rommel. This statue shows Montgomery in typical poses, arms clasps behind his back. The statues is close to fellow Field Marshals, William Slim and Alan Brooke.
Two stars for the sculpture. From what I know of the man he was not easy to get on with despite his war record.
