I'm still dreaming of the spring rolls. It's rare for me to rave about restaurant food, I'm easily underwhelmed. So, hear me when I say that these are the best spring rolls I've ever had. I would eat them again right now. The view is also pretty great from the rooftop patio. Get there early for seats you can see the sunset from. Great pricing too. The view from the roof top bar is amazing. The atmosphere at Mona’s gives you that holiday feeling. The service is good and the staff is extremely friendly.
Friends had mentioned this place and for a while I had wanted to check it out.. I finally managed to have the pleasure of popping in the other day. There was a selection of lovely home cooked food. Just the whole experience of being at Mona's made me feel as though I was in India (a good thing). The service was excellent and we were offered to sample a few items before buying. The stuffed green chillies were just like my mum used to make them. This place is certainly yet another jewel in East London's crown, tucked away on a side road just off popular Green Street - Upton park. I've added Mona's as one of my 'go to' places for the real home cooked Indian cuisine experience and highly recommend this establishment.
