Expecting much more from a Michelin rated food stand. The chicken and potato coconut curry was lacking depth. Although the dish was relatively balanced, there was nothing exciting about it. Where's the part that makes me want more? Don't need to return really....lackluster

Food here is fine. We tried the Nasi Lamak: a rich and creamy coconut soaked rice dish. It’s topped with juicy fried chicken (yum), cucumber, egg and interestingly, anchovies. I loved this bit. Added a lovely crunch and saltiness to what was otherwise a quite fatty and sweet bowl. Definitely the highlight for me and adds interesting variety to what is a “breakfast” dish sans smashed avos, sourdough, poached eggs and the rest of the rubbish stuff. I knocked off a star because I do think the food is a tad overpriced for what it is. I know it’s London/Borough Market price, but for 12 maybe slightly more generous portion sizes?
The restaurant gave you a two, three slice of chicken with this price when it’s the last portion. They shouldn’t have sold it for money, a bit of scum! The taste of the chicken is not so great either
Tried the other day and was quite disappointed. Wasn't very busy but service was rather slow, 10 minutes for just a couple orders in front. The hainanese chicken rice itself was average, the rice was a tad too salty and still hard. Chicken is so so, it's just poached so nothing special here and the ginger garlic sauce is simple enough. It's also a rather small portion for the price, compared to some others in other areas.
I never been to London but because of uncle Roger & pretty michellin chef I came here to rate you 5 stars. I lived in Singapore for long long time so I can tell your food is pretty good from the pictures. I only wish you can have yellow skin chicken for the chicken rice. . The attached picture is my version of singapore chicken rice.
