The food last Saturday lunchtime was outstanding, honestly. The dal in the vegetarian thali was stunning and the aubergine and okra dishes perfectly cooked. Meat eaters won't be disappointed either as those in my party had similar praise to mine. Our friendly waiter turned out to be the owner - who didn't make a point of saying until I asked - and the other waiters were genuine lovely. Many thanks.

I have taken takeaway orders twice and the food was delicious. It's on PAR with Indian Taste. I will recommend this place to eat.

Truly great experience from start to finish from all aspects. Service is flawless and meat couldn’t be fresher and tender than what they served us! Made our trip worthwhile and fulfilled all expectations thank you so much!

Went to Mala on the weekend for the first time and must say will definitely go back! The food was fantastic - the prawn poori was the best I've ever had! The staff were wonderful and friendly and a lovely touch by the owner to come and have a small chat with us and wish my friend a happy birthday, very friendly. There was some issues with the alarms and the coffee machine so we weren't able to have a coffee to end the evening however that didn't dampen the evening as everything else was lovely. Didn't not feel rushed at all.

Food: ordered the Tandoori Platter, a butter chicken, bhindi and pilau rice. Within the Tandoori Platter, we found the chicken and lamb to be very dry and lack taste. The fish part however was very tasty. The Butter Chicken was very sweet. The okra was raw in the bhindi dish. Overall unsatisfied with the food. Service: We asked 5 times for some water. We asked at least 3 different waiters for this, and we were a bit disappointed that it took almost 30 minutes for the water to come (food took 45 minutes from the time of ordering). Otherwise considering how busy the restaurant was, service was ok. The bill came quick when requested. Decor: view of the river is nice, and the decor overall is excellent. Covid 19: the restaurant was at capacity and spacing was thus approx 1metres from table to table. Hand gel on entry is good, however, overall due to the proximity to other tables, we did not feel too comfortable in terms of social distancing. Hope the feedback helps.
