Honestly, one of the worst councils ever I have come across. I have been living in Hackney for the past 11 years and locals know how corrupted they are. The customer service is the best!! it will take you 20 minutes to speak to someone that directs you to someone and then directs you to someone and then eventually you will wait forever until no one picksup.

Been reporting fly tipping for months now its got so bad there are rats now. Outside my ground floor flat outside my kids bedroom window. Its disgusting. I've been phoning the council. And someone keeps picking up the phone then hanging up. 10 times this has happened to me. Fuming right now
I wish I could give Zero stars! Lived in London all my life and have to say this is the worst Borough ever! & not because of people as they like to stereotype, it is because of the bloody council. They never pickup and when they do they have such incompetent staff its unbelievable how some of them got their jobs honestly. I have been trying to register on the housing list for 2 years and all they have to say is that they have been hacked. Never in my life have I ever heard that once a company or any highly data stored place gets hacked and it takes them what a year to get things fixed. It's really upsetting that I've wasted my 5 years here and now if I move out to another Borough I have to wait again for a few years until I can apply for housing. Do not move to this Borough honestly, I know someone in Tower hamlets who has applied after me and already has a 2 bedroom council house.
Been emailing Business Rates and receiving bouncebacks, been trying to log in to the online account which just keeps saying down for maintenance. Rang up and spoke to an incredibly rude man who basically told me everything is broken, they don't know how long it will be until it is fixed and there's nothing they can do. They can't provide me with an invoice until things are fixed and nothing they can do about that either. He then hung up on me. Appalling.
